What’s one of the big frustrations when dealing with a chronic illness?
Not knowing which thing, which supplements, which treatment is going to help you or not. I’ve spent a massive amount of money on things to heal since I first got lyme, especially at first because I was so overwhelmed and felt so hopeless I just wanted to feel better. When you feel like that it’s easy to spend money on things that might be an expensive scam. This cost heaps of money, of course the writeup on the websites sound awesome, but you somehow can’t find any reports from people who have actually used it.
At first it was okay, I’d try all kinds of things, spend countless dollars on different things and added more and more. I spend a lot of my day timing these different things and remembering to take them. It’s only recently that I realized “Well this isn’t sustainable in the long term, both spending the money and the huge amount of time to take all these things each day” and I’m starting to slowly filter these things down to some of the core things that are really helping.
But how do you do this?
I usually look on google for people who have actually used it, find posts on forums or facebook groups and such. But you probably know just as well as me that on some of these groups it’s like going down the rabbit hole of hopelessness because there’s so many people on them that are in such a low place complaining about it all the time that it can bring you down too. So I had to stop reading those groups and only check them if I wanted to research something.
You might also find that some things work for some people, but for your specific presentation of issues or symptoms it may not work as well for you, or you might need to approach it in a different order. For example one thing might work really well, but not until you do some detoxing first.
Some things that are raved about all over the internet just might not be that good for YOU specifically. Or you just aren’t ready for it yet.
I admit that a lot of these things I have also just clung to in the hope that “Maybe they’re doing something” and also from past experience of realizing that sometimes I don’t really know what something was doing for me until I stop taking it.
Doctors hadn’t really helped me, the first 2 had no idea and just said “Oh well the tests come back as nothing” and the first one even criticized me and got pissed off when I actually found a doctor who figured out that I had lyme! (That’s a whole other discussion in Australia especially.)
I had a couple of sessions with an Ayurveda practitioner initially and it did help, he gave me some herbal tinctures and other things. But there was something about him, we did the sessions but he just didn’t seem to care that much.
Late last year I was researching a method I’d heard about and I found a website that looked like it was from the 90s. It wasn’t flashy at all but something just felt right, there was even a video from the practitioner who seemed very genuine and knowledgeable. I started having sessions and she has helped me more than anyone else, it’s obvious she is somebody who genuinely cares about the people she treats getting better! Recently I had the opportunity to learn Autonomic Response Testing for myself and I’m glad I took it.
What the Hell is Autonomic Response Testing? (ART)
Your body KNOWS how to heal, but you have certain blockages in the way that sometimes are preventing you from healing. ART Testing is an advanced form of kinesiology developed by a doctor from Germany. It’s about communicating with the autonomic nervous system to figure out which treatments, supplements, practices, habits, etc are the most beneficial for YOU.
It even orders it in the level of importance! You can test things like dosage, how regularly to take it, how long is best to do a certain practice, which of the organs are being impacted and how you can best treat it and more.
As I’ve started to trust it more and go with it, it’s given me a clearer direction in which to go in. Sometimes I still question it, or put off a certain thing I’ve found because I’m scared to do it (like a Hulda Clark liver & Gallbladder flush recently) but I’ve found that even if I can’t logically see the benefit at the time that eventually I do after doing what the testing tells me. A bit over a month ago it told me to do a certain audio, I started it and I felt pretty crap, it brought up a lot of stuff for me, and I was continually questioning it, doubting it, getting insecure and it all felt wrong. But I kept with it, and when things cleared I finally seen the benefit of why it told me to use this audio! The excuses and doubts were down to fear and my mind trying to stop me from going forward!
I’m able to use self testing to figure out what is most beneficial for me now, the dosage, amount, and I’m learning to trust it even if it doesn’t make sense initially. It’s been very beneficial, i’m still getting my head around it, but the sessions I had with the practitioner helped me more than anything else, so I’ve decided to just trust it and go with it.
ART finds your issues in the order of importance, it helps you find out if your autonomic nervous system is ‘blocked’ which means that it’s difficult to get the correct answers because something is blocking it. This might be an infection, trauma, belief, fear, needing to detox, heavy metals, etc. ART will help you find and remedy those blockages.
Initially it might even ‘stop’ at the first level (of 5) and you only find one thing to do, which means that it’s something you need to do now before you can even move onto deeper levels. I’ve even found that on one testing at Level 3 or 4 I’d have something come up and i’d not do it, and then I’ll test again in a week or two and that thing will have gone up in importance, to level 1 or 2.
Your body knows the order, your body knows how to heal, deep inside you have a deep intelligence that knows how to heal, but it’s covered up with all kinds of crap. Trauma, limiting beliefs, fear, infections and other things that make the bodies wisdom difficult to come through. ART is a way to start to gradually sort through that, filter out the things that aren’t beneficial for you that you might just be spending heaps of money on and starts to give you a direction to go in.
With this site i’m hoping to help you sort though some of this crap, from my own experience of healing. Yes I’m still healing but I’ve come pretty far and learnt a lot, and I don’t know about you but I’d much rather learn from somebody who has been through something I’m going through, than someone who has no idea and has just intellectually ‘studied’ it. The first kind of person will understand it much more deeply.
I will present you with things I’ve found beneficial for my healing, whether it be certain practices like Qigong, healing audios I’ve used, supplements or treatments I’ve found that have helped, simple habits that you can start to build to go towards healing.
I also will offer ART Testing to you aswell so you can sort through these things for yourself and find what is going to be most beneficial for you!
I’m currently studying it, and just learnt to test people remotely which is great because the lockdown put a stop to being able to do muscle testing on people in person. For a while i’m just doing sessions to practice, and eventually will offer it professionally.
In the meantime i’ll be presenting things I’ve actually done myself and found them beneficial. This is much better than somebody who has done research and found things that ‘sound good’ and are simply presenting them to you because “someone else said this is good for your healing”.
I would rather listen to someone who has tried something, used it themselves over “yeah I studied stuff about this but I’ve never used it or applied it to myself.”
So welcome to SelfHealingForMen.com
