As we grow up we can lose connection with alot of things we used to do as a child. Fun, creativity, laughter, just finding ways to enjoy ourselves, move and explore. Right now I need this reminded for myself just as much!
There’s so many people out there not having fun, looking grumpy, who get upset when you’re just out having fun.. like they feel it reflects badly on them.
Too bad for them!
Go out and play, have fun, laugh, be creative, enjoy yourself. Find those things that you used to do as a child that you’ve lost connection with.
You might paint, draw, sing, play musical instruments, fart really loudly in public.. ok that one will upset everyone else more!
If you’re unable to do this, then spend some time sitting or laying down. Close your eyes and imagine your Inner Child. You don’t want to associate right into your Inner Child, but step in and communicate with them as your adult self.. as you can bring your adult wisdom to them. And they can bring their wisdom to you that you might have lost.
Ask them what they want to do, ask them what they find fun, ask them how they want to express their creativity. Then go and do it, at first it might seem strange, wrong, you might even feel stupid and think “why am I doing this?”.
But as you get into it you’ll start to connect with that part of yourself again, and you might find some joy that you thought you’d lost!
Spend time each day communicating with your Inner Child, sending them love, cuddling them, telling them you love them. And you’ll start to feel better!
